Travelling to Portsmouth

Portsmouth enjoys a prime location on England's south coast, well served by first class air, road, rail and sea connections to the rest of Britain and Europe. The main part of the City is built on the natural island of Portsea. The resort area of Southsea occupies its southern part and, although physically continuous with Portsmouth, is recognised as distinct from the rest of the City. The majority of students at the University live in Southsea and help contribute to its friendly, cosmopolitan and lively character.
