Travel within Portsmouth
University bus
There is a dedicated University bus and minibus service available during term-time only travelling between the main Guildhall Campus and the Langstone Campus between 08:15 and 17:30.
The Students' Union also runs a minibus service during the late evening, to ensure that all students have the means to get home safely.
University car parks
Visitors
There are various University car parks (click here for more information about University car parks), but please note that to park in any University car park you must display a visitor's parking permit, available from departments.
During term time, unless you arrive before 09.00 or arrive in the afternoon, the car parks are likely to be full unless you have a place reserved for you.
There is very limited street parking (mostly metered) near the majority of University buildings. Alternatively you can use the public car parks (also shown on the campus maps).
Students
To assist with the City's mobility policy, students living in the University's halls of residence are requested not to keep a car in Portsmouth. Students are encouraged to walk, use buses or bicycles. Bicycles are a popular form of transport in Portsmouth as the terrain is virtually flat!
Staff
Annual parking permits are available for members of staff. Staff who only require parking on an occasional basis may use daily visitor permits.
A number of parking spaces are reserved each day until 10.00 (on a first come first served basis) for staff and students who are the primary carers for pre-school children.
