UPEN host inaugural Low Carbon workshop

In September, UPEN hosted an event to mark the adoption of a report by the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (SoLEP) that proposes a way forward to support the development of a Solent Low Carbon Economy.

The event was well attended with over 50 regional organizations and businesses represented. You can still view the report and meeting outputs.

Since the event, a board has been established which will guide the development of this initiative, upon which the University is represented. The board has elected to adopt the Future Solent branding, developed here at the University, as its own. You can view the activity of Future Solent taking place at www.futuresolent.co.uk

It is intended that the University can contribute to Future Solent through the sustainable society theme, which has been proposed as part of the thematic structure suggested for UPEN.
