Roots!
Alistair Anderson English Concertina/Northumbrian Pipes, Peter Cropper violin, Donald Grant violin, Catriona McKay clarsach
An exciting evening exploring the common roots and developing branches of the classical and folk traditions.
The programme ranges from Bach, Bartόk and Ysaye to new and traditional music from the Highlands and Islands. A rare opportunity to hear musicians who are leaders in their respective fields perform together and share their love and knowledge of two musical forms with common roots.
“I am tremendously excited by this project - combining musicians of such deep knowledge and integrity, each with truly individual musical personalities, should produce a unique chemistry every single night!” Alistair Anderson
