All other vacancies are advertised through the on-site Job Shop, run by the University of Portsmouth Students' Union. The vacancy will be posted on their website and listed on the weekly email bulletin sent to all student work-seekers.

Student volunteering

Student placements

Student placements can be a useful way for you to drive a business project forward that because of day-to-day pressures might not otherwise be undertaken.

Many of our degrees have a period of employment built into the structure of the course and this is an integral part of a student's education. This period, called a placement, enables the student to gain valuable and relevant work experience and also benefits employers by offering them a chance to take on fresh, intelligent and enthusiastic young people. Placement students have a high level of skill and flexibility and can offer applied knowledge from their studies, resourcefulness and enthusiasm.
