Purple Door Recruitment

How can Purple Door Recruitment help you?

Purple Door Recruitment is our in-house recruitment service run for all students and graduates of the University of Portsmouth. We are here to help you make the most of your time at University and take those first steps from student life into the world of employment.

We offer graduate jobs and vacation internships and also provide a range of volunteering opportunities, including individual volunteering.

Are you an international student seeking graduate employment in the local area?

The post-study work visa option is closing in April 2012. If you are an international student graduating in summer 2012 you will need to gain sponsorship by an employer to continue to work in the UK after you graduate.    You are welcome to register with PDR but please note that very few of the vacancies managed by Purple Door Recruitment will meet the salary requirements for Tier 2 (General) sponsorship as identified by UKBA.  For further information on these requirements visit UKBA codes of practice.

What do I need to do?

In order to use the services of Purple Door Recruitment, you will need to complete a short online registration form. This will include uploading the latest copy of your CV.  Once this process is complete, a specialist consultant will call you back to discuss your requirements. Purple Door Recruitment will try to do this within three working days.

How do I apply for part-time vacancies?

Part-time vacancies for students studying at the University are advertised through the Purple Door Careers and Recruitment’s Jobs Board

To apply for these part-time opportunities you do not need to register with Purple Door Recruitment, just sign up to view the Jobs Board and follow the instructions on the advert you are interested in.
