This programme is open to University of Portsmouth students and graduates (graduated within the last 5 years). The 5 week course will run again in February 2018. We run an idea generation session for people who don't yet have an idea but are interested in social enterprise, this is followed by the 5 week programme.

The myth of starting up in business is that you need to secure large sums of money to make your idea happen. The reality is that potential investors or funders will shy away from any start-up that hasn’t proved it can secure customers or income.
There are a number of sources for funding that can help you explore your business idea further – both within and outside the University.
We currently provide:
The University in partnership with Santander Universities offers University of Portsmouth students and graduates (graduated within the last 5 years) an opportunity to apply for up to £2000 to explore and develop your startup ideas. This funding is currently closed. Find out more.
CCI Professional Practice Fund
CCI believes in supporting students' professional practice and has developed a fund to support these activities. If you are a CCI student who is organising an exhibition, fashion show, theatre production, installation, musical event or similar you might consider applying to the fund for financial support. Find out more.
Information on Funding
We keep an up to date spreadsheet of funding grants and competitions which can be found here.
