Support for your career plans

Front line staff in Purple Door will be able to get you started with researching your career ideas. You can come in at any time and speak with members of our front line team about issues relating to job search, careers information, support with the application process and volunteering.

Appointments with a Careers Adviser

A referral can be made for a one-to-one appointment with a Careers Adviser. This is another opportunity to discuss your future career plans in more depth. For example, what can you do with your degree? Postgraduate study options? Changing your course? Help with Assessment Centres?

The information below applies to term-time only as a reduced service may be offered during the vacation period.

When are Careers Adviser appointments available?

Appointments are available from Monday to Friday. Appointments are made in person or by telephoning 023 9284 2684. Please note that you cannot make appointments via email.

What if I have left the area and cannot come in for an appointment?

E-guidance is a simple email based service for current students or recent graduates (we can accept E-guidance queries up to five years after graduation). Note that this service is not able to accept CVs, covering letters or application forms. These queries can be addressed through alternative methods as detailed above.  Find out more about our E-guidance service.
