Appointments with a careers adviser
A one-to-one appointment with a careers adviser is your chance to discuss any aspect of your future career plans, what you can do with your degree, changing your course, postgraduate study options and more.
The information below applies to term-time only, a reduced service will be offered during vacation periods.
When are appointments available?
Appointments are available throughout the week during term time and vacation times.
How much time will I have?
Appointments are booked at 40-minute intervals, if you need additional time for further discussion we can arrange for you to make another appointment.
How do I sign up?
We begin making appointments from 9.00am on Friday for the following week. You can book either in person or by telephoning 023 9284 2684. Please note that you cannot make appointments via email.
How can I get advice from a careers adviser if I am not able to come in for an appointment?
E-guidance is the service for you if you are not able to visit the careers centre. It may be your first contact with Purple Door Careers and Recruitment and you would like some information or advice before visiting. You should be a current student of the University of Portsmouth or a recent graduate (we can accept E-guidance queries up to five years after graduation) or those interested in undertaking a University of Portsmouth course.
We are not able to accept covering letters, CVs or application forms via e-guidance, if you would like advice on any of these areas please telephone us to discuss possible alternative arrangements.
