Biography

I conduct research in the field of international development, and have a particular interest in the dynamics of social movements and nonviolent conflict resolution. My current research focuses on active frames of nonviolence in the Tibetan freedom movement, while previous publications have included analyses of religion and social justice in the anti-caste struggle in India. Past research has also included educational and gender issues in India.
