Portsmouth Business School has a well-established tradition of research excellence. Our researchers' work relates to real economic and professional concerns and, currently, areas of exploration include financial reporting, audit, corporate governance and strategic management accounting. We have a growing reputation in the field of forensic accounting, working alongside the University’s Institute for Criminal Justice.
Our Economists’ research reflects wide interests, which include agriculture and fisheries, bank profitability, foreign direct investment, international trade, speculative bubbles and financial crises, sport, and transport policy. Local and international organisations draw upon their expertise to guide their operations.

Graduate School
The University of Portsmouth Graduate School is a dedicated centre for all postgraduate research students and supervisors.
