BSc (Hons) Conservation and Wildlife Management Level 3 top up, Sparsholt Colleg
Country: UK
Mode of study: Part time
Duration: 2 years
This vocational degree has been designed to meet the increasing need in modern conservation and wildlife management for trained graduate ecologists with academic knowledge grounded in field experience, competent species identification skills and first-hand practical conservation experience.
The top-up option has been designed specifically for those students successfully completing the Foundation degree in Conservation & Wildlife Management who wish to progress to graduate with a BSc (Hons) degree. The choice of full-time or part-time study is designed to match the two routes available for the FdSc programme.
This final year programme takes a scientific approach to natural resource management and conservation from local to global-scale. It has an overall theme of applied ecological science. The programme seeks to encourage project design, independent thought and analysis, with students undertaking a research dissertation and investigative-style coursework. Students will develop the ecological expertise to enable them to solve conservation problems in the field, to be able to design management plans and conservation strategies, and to effectively implement them.
