FdSc Conservation and Wildlife Management, Sparsholt College Hampshire
Country: UK
Mode of study: Part or full time
Duration: 2 years part time or 3 years full time
Foundation degrees are courses with a larger element of work-based and practical learning than usual in BSc courses. The Foundation Degree in Conservation and Wildlife Management is designed to meet the requirements of modern and realistic wildlife management, for habitat and species conservation in the UK and Europe.
There is a need for professionally trained conservation and wildlife management personnel who have academic knowledge and competence integrated with practical skills and experience. In an increasingly demanding and threatened environment, a scientific approach to the management of plant and animal communities is essential if modern society wishes to conserve and sustainably interact with its natural heritage.
The programmes’ rationale pivots around this ecological approach and students will develop the competence and knowledge to enable them to make important conservation and wildlife decisions and effectively put them into practice.
