MA Design for Digital Media

Portfolio

This portfolio showcases the work of our students, and provides a glimpse of the quality of work achievable through MA Design for Digital Media.

Anna Kemp-Garcia – Major Project (September 2010)

During her research on interactive magazines, it was emerging as more and more obvious, how relevant and current this investigation was – during the initial stages of this project, Apple released the iPad, and with it came all sorts of new affordances for reading, browsing and sharing. With the tablet computer, a new design space for interactive magazines needed to be explored, and Anna Kemp-Garcia developed thorough concepts for innovative interaction design, which were tailored for an audience of women's magazines – including animated make-up tips and sharing content.

Shilpa Murthy – Major Project (September 2010)

Having travelled to the UK from India, to study for her MA, Shilpa was fascinated by the differences in culture between her home and her new location, and particularly interested in any form of design, expressed through various visual forms, from paintings to architecture. She sought to investigate, express and visualize her own journey, and thereby allow the viewer to take a similar journey, through a digitally convergent, rich tapestry of histories and styles.
