Sam Stevens, BA (Hons) Architecture

The BA (Hons) Architecture course at the University of Portsmouth appealed to me as the University seemed to have the best facilities.

My parents instilled an interest in architecture in me from an early age. In particular, I am interested in the design and problem-solving aspects of the subject. I like to look at the cost implications of a project, and I am also interested in the environmental factors that need to be considered - the increased legislation for energy efficiency of buildings.

After graduation, I plan to secure a position in a practice where I can gain essential skills and continue my professional studies.

Vinesh Pomal - BA (Hons) Architecture

Vinesh PomalArchitecture is one of the most intensive, but also one of the most creative and enjoyable courses. You are not only able to learn about the architecture itself, but also the social and environmental factors that are associated with it.

The tutors here are very helpful. We have weekly studio sessions where we discuss our projects and are given advice on how to improve. There is ample support throughout, both academic and personal.

The School has fantastic resources with computer suites, workshops and so on. We are housed in the Portland Building, which is an architectural masterpiece in its own right.
