'It was the course that initially attracted me to the University. It wasn't my first choice, but when I went to visit my first choice university I was disappointed with what was on offer. I really preferred Portsmouth and was glad that I got in here.
The course is excellent. The staff are superb; really helpful and friendly. The campus is easy to get around, you can cycle everywhere because Portsmouth is flat and as I come from a coastal town, I love the fact that it's by the sea.
The city's clubs are good compared to my home town, and I like to go clubbing in London, which isn't too far away. People are friendly in Portsmouth and there is always plenty to do here. I am a member of the polo team and use the University gym regularly.'

'I chose Portsmouth because it has an excellent business school with new facilities and is on the south coast. I was fortunate enough to spend my third year working in the Securities Lending department at The Bank of New York.
My main function was to liaise with traders and counterparties to ensure timely settlement of trades. I would recommend taking a placement year as it allows for the development of professional skills, which together with the academic skills you’ll gain over the three year study program, will provide a desirable skill set to employers.
There is plenty to do in Portsmouth and everything is in close proximity to the Business School.'
