BA (Hons) Film Studies

Adam Cooper - BA (Hons) Film Studies
'There were a number of factors that made me decide to come to Portsmouth: the south coast location, the proximity to London, and the fact that two of the core texts I studied at A Level were written by lecturers here.
The BA (Hons) Film Studies course is great, well-organised and above all, interesting. This is only enhanced by the teaching and resources staff, who are always willing to help out or answer questions.
Perhaps one of the best aspects of university life is meeting like-minded people with the same interests and passions - and in Portsmouth you're never truly stuck for somewhere to socialise, whether it be the beach or one of the many bars.'

Peter Hall - BA (Hons) Film Studies
'I chose the University of Portsmouth for three main reasons: it's close to home, it was the only university I applied to, and I have an ambition to be heavily involved in the film industry and this course seemed to offer me the potential for me to do this.
I have found the staff, facilities and resources to be higher than I first expected, particularly with respect to the level of teaching, resources available to us and the general attitudes of all staff I come into contact with, be it in lectures, seminars or in our own time whilst studying.
I find the location of lectures and their relation to local shops, cafes, and so on very good as you do not feel you have great distances to travel between lessons.'
