BA (Hons) Media Studies

Heemali Patel - BA (Hons) Media Studies

Heemali Patel'I have found the BA (Hons) Media Studies course to be really interesting as you get to explore a variety of units. There are plenty of resources available and the staff are always on hand to help.

The University also has many support services, for example the Recruitment and Careers Service offers workshops to help you write your CV and prepare for interviews.

The city also has a lot to offer. There are plenty of places where students can enjoy a night out, and in the summer there is the added benefit of being by the sea. You can head for the beach if you have time between lectures.'

Emma Theobald - BA (Hons) Media Studies

Emma Theobald'I came to Portsmouth because it was close to home, but far enough away to be independent. I met some of the lecturers and students from my course at an Open Day and everyone was really friendly.

I love my course, some of the units that we do are really interesting and I think I have learnt a lot. It is really obvious that our lecturers love their subject, and this comes through in our lectures and helps us be excited about it too.

The night life in Portsmouth brilliant, there are so many different bars and places to go, but you always end up bumping in to people that you know. I feel really comfortable going out here, especially to the Students' Union, where you know you will have a good night.'
