BSC (Hons) Biomedical Science

Finbarr Bassuah

Finbarr BassuahI decided to come to Portsmouth because of its unique location, situated next to the sea and more importantly, because it had a very good reputation nationally for my chosen subject.  The locals are very nice and friendly and always willing to lend a helping hand. I love the fresh air, the beach and the fact that one can easily move around in Portsmouth

I chose the BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science course because of my love and passion for studying science, having an in-depth knowledge of human anatomy and physiology and my dream to contribute greatly to our healthcare system.   I love the integrated clinical placement, which makes this course at the University of Portsmouth unique and the fact that the course is accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS).   After graduation, I will be doing further studies.

The facilities are good and well-maintained. The library books are usually kept in very good condition, considering the large number of students using these available resources.  I was impressed and relieved by the support I received from the Student Housing services in my first year of study.

I belong to the RAG VIP society which organises various voluntary events on and off-campus. I am also a member of the Christian Union (CU) and a member of the International fellowship of Christian students (IFCS).
