Careers and Employability for our Master's and Research Degrees students
Studying with us has many advantages. One of them is the support that we provide to our Master's and Research Degrees students. We care about you and about your future and this is why our Careers and Recruitment department will assist you in finding a job, once you have finished your studies.
We will be also happy to help if you wish to find a part-time job while studying your degree. And after graduation, we will be here for you in the next five years to assist with your career planning.
Advice and guidance
For our postgraduate students and alumni, we offer one-to-one appointments with a careers adviser or an E-guidance service for those not able to travel back to the University. If you are an international student, we can also offer specific advice on employment in the UK in our 'Advice for international students' pages.
Employability events
While studying at Portsmouth, a regular series of employability events will offer you the chance to meet employers, find out about different career sectors and improve your application for a job or course. CV Wednesday is a popular careers clinic which will help to improve your CV and covering letter.
