Professional courses
Our Professional Doctorate in Health and Social Care Disciplines offers students the opportunity to undertake an established and structured route into advanced study, providing an alternative to the doctorate qualification.
The course is open to a wide range of health and social care professionals who have an interest in practice-based research and professional practice issues. The Professional Doctorate is internationally recognised and granted to those who have reached the highest level of professional achievement in their field of employment and would like to advance their academic endeavours.
The University of Portsmouth has assisted over 45 people to successfully complete the course and we are committed to continually improving the number of students who can benefit from undertaking a Professional Doctorate.
