Want to visit the University?

Our preview days for 2013 entry ran from July to November 2012 and have now finished. If you are considering studying here in 2013 and would like to visit the university, the following options are available to you:

Come down and take a tour for yourself

Please download our walking tour of the campus. You can come down on any working day between 8:30am and 4:00pm and walk around the campus. We have an open door policy so you will be able to take a look into university buildings, speak to some of our support services and get a feel for the university campus.

Can I speak to an academic?

As we are a teaching university, you would need to contact the department you are interested in studying at to see if you can arrange an appointment in advance of your visit. This is not always possible during term time when our staff are taking lectures. If you need to know which department to contact, please telephone our Information Centre for advice on 023 9284 4444.

Department Open Days for applicants

If you decide to apply to the University of Portsmouth and are offered a place, you'll be invited to a subject specific open day to come back and look around the campus and your department in particular. Look at the leaflet enclosed with your offer letter for more information on how to book.

Postgraduates

We hold two postgraduate information days throughout the year where you can drop-in to discuss options for postgraduate study. Visit the Postgraduate event pages for more information.
