Want to visit the University?
We are now taking bookings for our 2013 entry undergraduate Preview Days
Come and visit us and have a look round. It’s the best way to find out what the University and the city are really like. Our Preview Days are incredibly popular as they give you a genuine insight into life at the University of Portsmouth before you apply.
On a Preview Day you can:
- Visit the department you are interested in and meet the staff
- Take a tour of the city and campus
- Chat to current students
- Visit some of our halls of residence
- Meet our student support advisors
- Tour our sports facilities and library
- Visit the Students’ Union
Our Preview Days are very popular with thousands of visitors each year and we’ve had a lot of extremely positive feedback.
You will need to book a place in advance of these events, so we can send you helpful information on what to expect.
Our Preview Day dates for 2013 entry will be held on the following dates:
- Saturday 7 July 2012
- Wednesday 11 July 2012
- Saturday 6 October 2012
- Saturday 20 October 2012
- Saturday 3 November 2012

Department Open Days 2012 entry
If you are interested in coming to the University of Portsmouth this year, have already submitted an application and have received an offer, you will be sent an email to invite you to attend a Department Open Day. The Department Open Day will give you another chance to see the campus, meet your lecturers and get more of an in-depth look at the area you wish to study in.
Postgraduates
We hold two postgraduate information days throughout the year where you can drop-in to discuss options for postgraduate study. Visit the Postgraduate event pages for more information.
