If you plan to attend the Open Evening please book your place so that we can send you all the information you 'll need. 

Please find below all the details required to make your visit to us a success:

Registration

Registration opens at Portland Building from 4pm. Please register on arrival and take the opportunity to enjoy refreshments whilst browsing our Employer and University Exhibitions.

Your programme

Please download our PDF open evening programme to view all the activities on offer and plan your visit in advance of your arrival. All talk times are listed. You are welcome to attend as many subject and employer talks as you wish. 

Talks

Each talk is delivered three times, you can select the time that suits you. You may wish to attend more than one course talk, you can tailor your visit to your area of interest.

Why choose a degree apprenticeship

Course talks

Times: 5, 6, 7pm 

Hear from the Course Leader about the degree structure, how to apply your learning to your workplace and the academic support available to apprentices.

Careers Clinic

Call in and meet our experienced team who are offering one to one careers guidance, including advice with CV writing, support in writing job applications, and help with perfecting interview techniques. 

Vacancy Drop In

Staff will be providing hands on support to help you research degree apprenticeship vacancies. Providing top tips and advice on the sites and tools that will enhance your chances of securing your ideal degree apprenticeship role. 

Employer and University Support Services Exhibitions

Times: 4 - 8pm

  • Meet employers working in partnership with the University who are looking for degree apprentices.
  • Speak to staff from the university support services who can help ensure you get the most out your degree.
  • Chat to current degree apprentices about how they balance both work and study.

Limited, free parking spaces will be available on a first-come, first-served basis in selected University car parks (please note that staff may be occupying spaces until approximately 5pm):

Alternatively, you can benefit from a reduced rate at Gunwharf Quays car park using our Degree Apprenticeship Open Evening Parking Voucher.

Portsmouth's Park-and-Ride offers a quick, easy way into Portsmouth at a cost of £4 per vehicle. Access the service from the M275 at the entrance to the city and allow twenty minutes for the onward journey. The closest stop to Portland Building is Queen Street East, just a short walk away.

There is also ample on-street, pay-and-display parking available close by and at public car parks throughout the city.
