Biography

I am the KTP Associate and Project Manager for a Knowledge Transfer Partnership between the University of Portsmouth and Polaris Consulting Ltd. The objective of the two-year project is to exploit academic expertise via industry experience in order to solve challenges in the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of Offshore Wind. With funding from Innovate UK and the support of the offshore wind industry, the team aims to develop a Decision Support Analysis Tool for dynamic maintenance scheduling of an Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) under uncertain weather conditions.

Through my BSc in Business Administration and a distinction in my Logistics and Supply Chain Management MSc, I developed strong problem-solving, decision-making and interpersonal abilities which are essential to professional roles in this field. Through my MSc and Dissertation Placement project, I gained a deep understanding of sophisticated modelling techniques. I have experience in optimisation and simulation modelling gained through practical sessions which were designed to solve real-life case studies, as well as Microsoft Excel based methods which use linear and integer programming to solve case studies covering production, transportation, logistics, planning and supply chain configuration and scheduling.

During my studies, I used quantitative techniques for strategic decision making such as decision analysis, multi-criteria decision analysis, data envelopment analysis and queuing in the context of logistics applications. I also have experience of a number of case studies relating to the different applications of logistics with respect to financial, environmental, societal and economic objectives.

As a KTP Associate, I have has attended and presented at workshops and conferences in the offshore wind industry sector.
