| Dip. Arch. (N.T.U. Athens) | MSc (Edinburgh) |
Dr Anastasia Karandinou joined Portsmouth University in 2010. Before that, she had been teaching at the University of Edinburgh and worked as a practising architect. Her recent research focuses on the notion of the ephemerality and time; the sonic, the sensuous, the virtual and hybrid aspects of space. Her projects have obtained awards in international competitions such as the UIA- Velux ‘Light of tomorrow’, and her project ‘Athens by sound’, represented Greece in the 11th Venice Biennale of architecture. She is currently teaching architectural design and works on a research project involving the exploration of urban and virtual environments through sound and film.
