Profile

BA (Hons) (Kingston) Dip. Arch (Kingston) Part 3 Professional Practice (Polytechnic of Central London) Registered Architect

I became Head of the Portsmouth School of Architecture in 2001, having worked as a practitioner in London for 20 years and stood down as Head in 2012. My research interests include New Settlement and Urban Housing and Architectural Education and the 'virtual studio'. I currently serve on the management groups of the Creative Urban Regeneration unit (CURe) and the Project Office of the School of Architecture here at Portsmouth.

I continue to enjoy studio teaching and lecturing in the areas of representation and the history of modern architecture and have recently led student study trips to Lisbon, Oporto and Helsinki.
