Profile

Prior to joining the University of Portsmouth in 2008, I was an Associate Director at Building Design Partnership and worked on a diverse range of projects including: corporate headquarters for BT and Roche Pharmaceuticals; the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital, Brighton; Glasgow Science Centre and Nike Town London. I have also taught in secondary and further education.

I combine my design teaching with my research interests, which include theories of design education; colour, materials and the interior and abstract representations of space in painting.
