I have always wanted to study Medicine; the molecular aspect of human cells and disease has always fascinated me. Before I came to the University of Portsmouth I lacked the discipline and maturity to pursue my ambition. When I arrived the quality of teaching and assistance that I received was impressive, which helped me develop as a student, essentially teaching me how to learn.

I left Portsmouth with a first class honours in Biology, which I would not have achieved without the support of the staff. The broad syllabus allowed me not only to learn more about the subject areas that I found fascinating, but also allowed me to develop other interests. I am now studying medicine in Manchester thanks to the skills that I learned whilst at Portsmouth, I was lucky to study at such an ambitious and supportive university.
