Research
My PhD research was on the ecology and distribution of an alga (Undaria pinnatifida), first introduced into the UK via the Solent in 1994. Other active research interests are; Invasive species, aquaculture, surveys of marine flora and fauna, bio-fouling and environmental impacts
- The Overfalls project (2006), funded by the Aggregate Levy Sustainability Fund and English Nature.
- A survey of the fish species of Chichester Harbour, for Chichester Harbour Conservancy in 2003.
As in previous surveys, students are able to become involved in the survey work, for use in their final year project.
