Studying abroad
You may also study in Europe under the Socrates scheme. "Erasmus ("EuRropean Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students") is the European Commission's educational programme for Higher Education students, teachers and institutions. Socrates-Erasmus involves student mobility and is based on co-operation agreements between Higher Education Institutions in different European participating states.
Living abroad is the best way to learn a new language or improve existing skills. You will gain confidence, language skills, the ability to adapt to new environments and communicate with people from different cultural backgrounds. You will add to your CV, making yourself more attractive to employers in a global market, looking for those with European experience, not afraid to take on a new challenge.
In summary, Erasmus can offer Employability, Recognition, Adventure, Student Life, Maturity, Understanding and Satisfaction.
The School of Biological Sciences have Erasmus-Socrates agreements with:

- University of the Balears Islands, Palma, Spain
- University of Ioannina, Greece
