Entry into Levels 2 and 3
Applicants offering suitable higher education qualifications and experience may be admitted directly into the second or third stage of a School of Computing degree scheme in accordance with Faculty policy on the accreditation of prior learning. Please note that the nature of some courses will require precisely matched prior learning. Please contact us for more information.
Stage 2 entry
Typical suitable qualifications may include:
- A relevant BTEC Higher National Diploma with a good average mark.
- Successful completion of Stage 1 of a similar degree course elsewhere.
- Successful completion of an appropriate higher education course at an overseas institution judged to have met the academic standard required for entry to Stage 2 of the course to which application is being made.
Stage 3 entry
Typical suitable qualifications include:
- A relevant BTEC Higher National Diploma with merits/distinctions at level H.
- A Foundation Degree in an appropriate subject.
- Successful completion of an appropriate higher education course at an overseas institution judged to have met the academic standard required for entry to Stage 3 of the course to which application is being made.
