Profile

Research

My general areas of research interest lie in user centred design and applications to support well being.  I am particularly interested in using applications to support wellbeing in people with Borderline Personality Disorder. I would be interested in supervising any project in these areas.  Current research projects include:

  • Designing mobile applications to facilitate 'self soothing'
  • Investigating IT based support mechanisms and developing ‘well being’ applications for people with Borderline Personality Disorder.
  • Applications of user centred design and evaluation in tourism websites, in developing countries.

PhD students.

I would be particularly interested in supervising any self funding students who have an interest in applications to support well being and ‘self soothing’.  Additionally, research projects with a focus upon usability, accessibility and user experience.
