Tutor Centre
The School of Computing Tutor Centre provides a one-stop academic help and support resource for all School of Computing students.

Monday -Friday: 11am - 1pm
The main tasks of the Centre are to provide help and information in the following areas:
- Support for academic work in each semester, e.g. with Frequently Asked Questions, help understanding coursework, explanation of concepts, hand-in dates and requirements
- Common project-related issues, e.g. preparing project specifications, writing literature reviews, project submission and resubmission
- Specialist workshops, e.g. programming languages, academic/research skills, research and study abroad opportunities. Also, at appropriate times of year, e.g. project write-up advice, hand-in advice. In addition, complementary workshops available, which relate to staff research interests.
- Referral/deferral revision help
It will also help students contact other agencies as needed, e.g. personal and duty tutors, the academic skills unit, placements tutors, or course-related enquiries.
Specific Help Available
An updated weekly schedule is posted in the tutor centre and at various locations around Buckingham Building, and on the facebook page. The schedule will indicate the specialist subject areas support relevant for each week
