Student Projects

Projects are a major part of all of our courses and form a bridge between academic study and professional life. They represent a significant amount of work on the part of the students.

Undergraduate projects are either of 10 or 15 weeks' duration. BSc (Hons) and BEng (Hons) programmes have the 10 weeks' projects whereas our flagship MEng projects are 15 weeks long. Undergraduate projects are all completed by the end of an academic year (around first week of June).

MSc projects are of the same length as MEng projects but are mainly taking place during the Summer (e.g. mid June to mid September). Some MSc students take their projects during the first semester of an academic year (October - January) and those who start in Feburary in the second semester (February - June).

Our student projects have been divided into the following areas:

• Electronic, Computer and Communications Engineering and Computer Networking

• Mechanical, Manufacturing and Petroleum Engineering and Product Design
