Insect-Like Robots with Simple Survival Behaviour
Cecilie Patricia Claridge
This project investigates the design of a small walking robot with simple behaviours and a limited insect like intelligence.
Walking robots which are to be able to survive by themselves are usually modelled on insects, as compromising of around 75% of all animal species, they are the most successful animals on the planet.
By creating all the behaviours and intelligence for this robot using only analogue circuits, the robots are small and cheap, and through using only a minimal number of components, they are indispensable.
