After You Apply – Department Open Days
Departmental Open Days are important events exclusively for people who have applied to the University of Portsmouth. We understand it's a big decision to decide where you're spending the next three years of your life studying, so we want to offer you another opportunity to come and visit us and get to know the department you'll be studying at in much more detail.
Even if you have already attended one of our general University Open Days, attending a Departmental Open Day is an important experience that can help you make your final decision.
I would like to thank all of the lecturers involved with the open day today for being so informative and helpful with regards to the course specifics and university options after the foundation year, and I feel that the outlining of support and opportunities beyond studying engineering itself was very well done, and made me feel that Portsmouth is definitely a university to consider for my studies next year. After You Apply - Visit Days
Visit Days are available to prospective students who have been unable to attend a Department Open Day. They are generally a more informal way of coming to look around the University at your leisure. Departments such as Finance, Halls of Residence and the Library also have drop in sessions available. Read more...
