- Institut Géographique National - the French national mapping agency
- Malta Environment & Planning Authority Map Server - try out the online GIS of Malta
- bing maps - a UK based site with lots of aerial photographs as well as maps
- Maporama - a French website - try out the "Search Around" facility
- Mapquest - a US website - good airport mapping facilities

- Map-It - a form-based map generator from the USGS
- Center for Advanced Spatial Technologies (CAST) - the Arkansas Interactive Mapper is a web-based program which allows any user to generate maps of any area in Arkansas
- Subway navigator - a French website mapping underground/subway trains from around the world (not too hot on graphics but a good database nonetheless)
