Administration and Forms
The administration of postgraduate study is carried out by Academic Registry, who act as the definitive record keeper about students and courses on behalf of the University.
For all your administration needs, including forms that students and supervisors may need such as registration, annual appraisals and major reviews, please refer to the Research Degrees Section of the Academic Registry website.
Academic Registry
The Academic Registry's main role is to act as the definitive record keeper about students and courses on behalf of the University. The Research Degrees Section is responsible for the registration and assessment of Postgraduate Research Degree (PGRD) students and its Quality Assurance arrangements.
You can find forms relating to registration and annual appraisals, and, for those doing a Research Degree, the major review. You will be notified by either your First Supervisor or the Academic Registry should you need to complete any of these forms.
The useful information section of the Academic Registry webpages contains University documents that relate to research degrees and professional doctorates, in particular, the two handbooks (the PGRD Handbook and the Supervisor Handbook) can be found here, as can the University regulations relating to research degrees.
These pages contain the most up to date information and forms for PGRD students. It is important that, should you need to complete any of these forms or refer to current University regulations, you refer to these pages and not to any saved versions you may have.
