Date: 3rd December 2012
Venue: The Graduate School Training Room
Time: 1.15pm - 4.15pm
Presenters: Graham Mills, Phil Clements & Jane Creaton
This workshop is relevant to all staff who will be supervising a Professional Doctorate Thesis. It is also relevant to those who may be part of a supervisory team in the foreseeable future as the provision of professional doctorate programmes in the University expands.
The aim of the workshop is to identify the issues and the challenges of supervising professional doctorate students and to explore good practice in addressing these. The workshop will consider the expectations, major challenges and opportunities of supervision from the perspective of both the academic supervisor and the professional doctorate student. In addition, the workshop will provide an opportunity to share good practice and to learn from the experience of colleagues in different parts of the University who deliver these programmes.
Please book with the Graduate School.
