Research degrees key stages

Most postgraduate research degree students complete their PhD studies in 3-4 years. The PDF document Research Degree Key Stages gives an example PGRDS timeline of a PhD degree. It spans the whole duration starting from initial registration in October (as part of the October intake) to the graduation ceremony for full-time (FT) and part-time (PT) students.

Research degree students studying for a Professional Doctorate have a separate set of key stages.
