Ethical Research and Ethical Supervision

This workshop will cover the main issues involved in conducting ethical research; it will address the broad topic of research ethics drawing on a range of case examples, focusing on the interests of research subjects as well as researchers and the University’s reputation.  Practical matters concerned with the process of ethical review, both within and beyond the University will be described.  Discussion and debate will be extended in considering the ethical role and responsibilities of supervisors.
