Human Resource and Marketing Management (HRMM)

Welcome to the Department of Human Resource and Marketing Management, one of five that make up Portsmouth Business School. On the pages that follow you will find details of our undergraduate and postgraduate courses as well as information about the staff who work in the department.

If you are seeking a first degree in a business area we offer a Business Studies degree as well as a range of specialized programmes including Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Hospitality and Tourism Management. Many of these provide the opportunity to spend a year of paid employment on a work placement. We are justly proud of the high numbers of our graduates who find employment after completing their degree with us.

Our popular postgraduate courses provide opportunities for those who wish to continue their studies. The University of Portsmouth is an Accredited Centre for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).  Our popular postgraduate courses provide opportunities for those who wish to continue in their studies with programmes in HRM including postgraduate diploma and masters courses.  We also offer a range of postgraduate programmes in Marketing, Digital Marketing and Sales Management.

Staff in the Department have authored a number of textbooks which are widely used on courses throughout the Higher Education sector and many are involved in research and consultancy assignments. These activities, together with links with over 600 organizations, help ensure that our courses are relevant and intellectual stimulating.
