The University of Portsmouth held a Crime and Forensics Open Day on Saturday 3rd March 2012.

The open day provided a unique opportunity to see how criminal investigation and forensic science operates in our criminal justice system, featuring the science, technology and methods employed by the police and forensic specialists.

Bringing together practitioners, academics, and students who work in and study the fascinating world of crime and investigation, the event welcomed many visitors. It focused on:

  • Crime scenes
  • The Police, CID, CSIs
  • Forensic Psychology
  • Forensics – Imaging, biology, computing, environmental sciences
  • The Law
  • Studying science and crime at the University of Portsmouth
