The Research Centre for Comparative and International Criminology is one of the Specialist Centres at the Institute of Criminal Justice Studies. It has been founded to accommodate the growing interest in comparative and international research that has occurred within the Institute over the last ten years, providing a clear focus for research, scholarship and international collaboration.
Its aims are to
- Provide a focal point of research and scholarship in comparative and international criminal justice research
- To provide a locus for the work of ICJS visiting scholars
- To highlight and publish the research and scholarship undertaken at ICJS
- To demonstrate a critical mass in quality and quantity of comparative and international research
- To advertise our international research and scholarship links
Director: Dr. Francis Pakes, Reader in Comparative Criminology with a track record in comparative and international criminological research of over 15 years.
