Profile

Dr Lee Roach LLB, PhD, FHEA

Originally from South Wales, Lee gained his LL.B. in Law at the University of Glamorgan and his Ph.D. in Corporate Governance at the University of Bristol. Having previously taught at the University of Bristol and Cardiff University, he joined Portsmouth Business School in 2006.

Teaching and Research Interests

Lee is unit co-ordinator for the undergraduate unit Legal System. At postgraduate level, he teaches Corporate Governance: Theory, Law and Practice and is also the Postgraduate Dissertations Co-ordinator. He also teaches Corporate Governance as part of the MBA.

Lee’s research interests focus on the law and economics of corporate governance. Current research projects include examining the law relating to an auditor’s liability for negligence, and the effectiveness of corporate governance mechanisms.

Lee would welcome Ph.D. proposals in the fields of Corporate Governance or Company Law.
