James Hand BA (Hons), PgDL, PgDipLP, LLM
James joined the University of Portsmouth in 2003 and is currently an Associate Senior Lecturer. His teaching interests include Employment Law (which he has taught to LLB, LLM and undergraduate business students), Discrimination Law, Contract and Tort Law. He has also taught on introductory law units for business students, the careers and research management unit for lawyers and, in 2004 and 2005, taxation units.
His research interests are predominantly related to discrimination law, but other research interests include constitutional reform and aspects of tort law.
He is a member of the Society of Legal Scholars and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
