Dr. Dylan Jones of the Management Mathematics Group in the Department of Mathematics has been invited to speak at ORG2006, the Operations Research Group meeting, being held at the University of Hong Kong.
Dr. Jones is a Principal Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Portsmouth. His areas of interest include Linear programming, Multi-Objective and Goal programming, Compromise programming, Modelling techniques for real world applications, Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis, Preference Modelling, Genetic Algorithms and Heuristic Techniques.
Other invited speakers at the Hong Kong meeting include Evan Lee of the Georgia Institute of Technology (USA) and Tze-Leung Lai and Yinyu Ye of Stanford University (USA).
The Management Mathematics Group in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Portsmouth provides research and consultancy in the areas of
