Rewarding our best: prizes awarded to graduating students

On Wednesday July 14, at a champagne and strawberries reception following this year's graduation ceremony, prizes were awarded to our most successful graduating students.

Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) prizes

The IMA prizes are awarded to two final year Mathematics students for best academic achievement. IMA Prizes were awarded to Robert Hicks and Chris Dunford.

DSTL Prize

The DSTL prize is awarded to the student who produces the best final year project. This year, the prize was awarded to Maija Brice for her project on Algebraic Topology.

Barry Taylor Memorial Prize

The Barry Taylor prize is awarded for demonstration of the highest degree of personal academic improvement over that of the previous year. This year's prize was awarded to Sarah Garcia.

Graham Elliott Prize

The Graham Elliott Prize is awarded as acknowledgement of general personal contribution to the Department of Mathematics and its aims. This year, the prize was awarded to Caroline Kovacs.

The department would like to express its congratulations to these students for their excellent work.
