Partnerships and acknowledgements
The Department for Education and Skills' Aimhigher campaign encourages young people to think about the benefits and opportunities of higher education (HE); especially young people from families with no tradition of higher education.
The Undergraduate Ambassadors Scheme (UAS) provides the framework for a degree course module awarding academic credit to science, technology, engineering and maths undergraduates working with teachers in local schools.
The Portsmouth School Improvement Service is part of Portsmouth Local Education Authority which exists to improve education for all learners in the city.
The Maths Café is a daily drop in facility, run by the Department of Mathematics, where ANY student of the University can receive help on any maths or stats problem. We operate in friendly, informal locations which we hope will encourage students to visit us.
UP for It is the University of Portsmouth's membership scheme for 11-16 year olds. Members get the chance to visit the University, take part in events and workshops and find out more about what we can offer before deciding what to do with the rest of their lives (or maybe just the bit after school).
