Can I enter the Enterprise Challenge 2010?
Entry to the Enterprise Challenge 2010 is open to all registered undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of Portsmouth (full time/part time). Please note that the number of prizes available to MBA students, students who are already running a company and students who are also members of staff will be limited due to their increased experience. You can enter at Stage One, Stage Two or both. You can enter the same idea further developed in Stage Two or a different one.
Is it your own idea?
All ideas must belong to you or one of your team members. By submitting an entry form, you attest to your right to present these ideas as your own or your team’s and to their originality. You must take care to keep your ideas confidential and all ideas will be treated in the strictest confidentiality by the Challenge Team and judges. Students should be aware that any ideas developed in the course of projects in conjunction with staff or an external organisation may have implications as to the ownership of intellectual property (see University of Portsmouth Circular on Intellectual Property Protection 2001).
Can I submit more than one entry?
You can participate in up to 5 entries. You will only be eligible to win one prize as lead entrant but you can still win as a team member for another lead entrant. Teams of up to 5 entrants must include at least one registered student who will be the lead entrant.
Who can help me with my entry?
Us! We are waiting to help you! Continuous help and support provided for the Challenge. All entrants are encouraged to use the PCE Online Resource Centre (ask for your Challenge entrant password) and to take advantage of the expertise of the Challenge team.
How should I submit my entry?
Entries may be typed or clearly handwritten on the official form attached. Unreadable entries may not be judged. Completed Registration Forms should be handed in to a member of the Challenge team in Mercantile House, Room 9.19, Hampshire Terrace, Portsmouth and a receipt obtained from the Challenge Administrator.
When is the closing date?
All entries for Stage One must be submitted to the Portsmouth Centre for Enterprise to arrive no later than 12.00 noon on Thursday, 10th December 2009 . Please note, The Challenge Team does not accept responsibility for entries which are submitted but fail to arrive by the closing date.
Judging and Award of Prizes
The decision of the judges is final. The opinion of the judges is their own and represents no-one else's. Stage One winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on 9th February 2010. Only one prize will be awarded in respect of any entry.
Who is running the Enterprise Challenge?
